Installing an APK [ANDROID 7.x]

Beforehand
- Place desired APKs on your USB drive
Installing a launcher as the first program is recommended. It will make this process easier in the future since you can launch Files directly from the launcher.
- Install Across Center on desired computer
- Follow any prompts to reboot
- When opening Across Center, a new taskbar status icon will appear
- Open the status icon's menu and click Switch to server mode
- In the same menu, click Open Across Center
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on the computer
- Go to the apps list
- Scroll down to Settings and press OK
- Click the open button
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled
- In the main settings menu, scroll down to Add accessory
- In Across Center, click Add under the Bluetooth status reading
- On the TV box, your computer's hostname should appear as an accessory
- Press OK after highlighting your computer
- Follow any further displayed instructions with Bluetooth pairing
- If pairing was successful, the computer will be listed as an accessory
- On Across Center, drag the newly positioned device to any position around your PC
- Click Apply
- Go to the apps list
- Scroll to Files and press OK
- Click the open button
- On your computer, move the cursor into the side of the screen adjacent to where the TV box was placed on the grid in Across Center
- Skip to Part 2 on this page, ignoring Step 1.
- Press the left and right Ctrl keys simultaneously on the PC to move focus back to the computer screen.
- Across Center may be uninstalled at this point
Quit controlling the remote device
Part 1
- Go to the apps list
- Scroll to Files and press OK
- Click the open button
- If it opens successfully skip to Part 2
- It might crash and show the Android TV boot animation. In this case, follow steps 1-3 in Part 1 again
Part 2
- Connect a mouse to other USB port
- Navigate into the USB and into the folder you placed your APKs
- Double click the APK to install it
- On first time install, it will show an error about unknown sources
- Click settings on the prompt
- Enable all sources shown
- Continue installing the app
Bottom USB port might have a white sticker over it
Note that the cursor is invisible, but if you mouse over some items it will get highlighted so you can navigate this way. Also try using the corners of the screen to help.
